The 2015 Miss Universe pageant airs LIVE from Florida International University on Sunday, hosted by Natalie Morales and Thomas Roberts. The glitz! The glamour! The bikinis! Watch the NBC live stream online here!
Gavin DeGraw, Nick Jonas and Prince Royce are set to give musical performances. Judges include Manny Pacquiao, Kristin Cavallari, William Levy, Lisa Vanderpump, Louise Roe, Emilio Estefan, Nina Garcia and DeSean Jackson (quite the eclectic mix), as 88 contestants are evaluated in swimsuit, evening gown and interview categories. Miss USA Nia Sanchez will represent the United States in the competition, carrying the hopes and dreams of a nation. The former Miss Nevada won her current title last June. She did, however, face controversy afterwards. There were questions as to whether Sanchez actually lived in Nevada, and she didn’t help matters when, during a radio interview, she blanked on the name of the state’s capital. Still, she retained her Mis USA crown, and will do her best to win Miss Universe.
According to the Miss Universe Organization, Sunday’s pageant features women who are “savvy, goal-oriented and aware… [they] display characteristics in their everyday lives, both as individuals, who compete with hope of advancing their careers, personal and humanitarian goals, and as women who seek to improve the lives of others.”
