They weren’t Jay Z and Beyoncé, but the 2015 DIRECTV Super Bowl party in Glendale, Arizona had the next best thing: Kanye West and Rihanna. Check out the videos below!
Rihanna was the concert headliner for this year’s “Super Saturday Night,” taking over for last year’s performers, Jay and Bey. But to up the ante, Rihanna surprised the crowd by bringing out West. Together they performed “All of the Lights,” and other duets, such as “Run This Town” and the “Diamonds” remix, before West had the stage to himself. He treated the audience to “Jesus Walks,” “Black Skinheads,” and his most recent song, “Only One.”
Rihanna, meanwhile, sang “Stay,” “We Found Love,” “Rude Boy,” “Umbrella,” and more chart-toppers. She and West had the command of a star-studded crowd, which included the rapper’s wife, Kim Kardashian. After the show, the couple joined Chrissy Teigen and John Legend, who will perform “America The Beautiful” before the big game, for a “double date” at a local Waffle House.
Rihanna and West’s concert team-up comes one week after they released a surprise collaboration with Paul McCartney called “FourFiveSeconds.” They didn’t, however, perform the new track at the Super Bowl party, further fueling speculation that they instead will at next week’s Grammys. In the meantime, check out the DIRECTV concert videos below!
